Parental Control is the value-added service developed by Novatium and provided to netPC users at a nominal monthly subscription.

With this feature, children can be given exclusive access to the following:

	All informative content - Wikipedia, CIA Factbook, Novatium Portal, and Student Encarta
	Generic Office applications – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
	Mails from hotmail/gmail /yahoo mail /rediffmail.

But their access to other services such as Internet, games and a few other applications is restricted.

This is accomplished by having a separate user id for the child, in addition to the existing parent user id that has unrestricted access to all applications and the Internet.

This is certainly an ideal option for parents who desire to control the computing options of their children, yet not deny them the intellectual benefits of using a computer.
