Novatium: Corporate Information

Alok Singh is a member of the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer of Novatium.

Under his leadership, Novatium has taken giant strides from being a start-up technology product company in Chennai to being an established technology service company catering to homes and enterprises nation-wide. Novatium has tied up with MTNL to provide home computing services in Delhi and is also looking at expanding its business to other cities as well. Alok Singh has been an integral part of Novatium since its early days of inception and has been instrumental in broadening the horizons of Novatium’s innovations and fostering enduring corporate relationships.

Armed with 18 years of accomplished experience in service marketing and service delivery, solutions designing, marketing, manufacturing & consulting, Alok Singh has also played a crucial role in establishing two successful start-up companies. Prior to assuming his current role, he was the CEO of Cummins Auto Services Ltd for five years. His previous stints also include Satyam Computer Services Ltd, Tata Cummins Ltd and Tata Motors.

As the CTO, Vinod is responsible for spearheading Novatium’s technological innovations. He directs strategic planning and provides technology direction to ensure that product development is in alignment with the company’s vision.

Vinod brings over 10 years of experience in product development and software development to Novatium. Prior to joining Novatium, he was at IBM. His accomplishments at IBM include successful design, development and management of a number of components in the WebSphere suite of products at IBM India, Germany and the US.

Vinod holds a Masters in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Nisheeth Mishra has about 10 years of varied experience in consulting, business unit management and information technology function. He is a Stephanie with a PGDBM degree from Goa Institute of Management. Prior to joining Novatium, Nisheeth has successfully setup the complete IT of SpiceJet, a raving LCC in Indian market. Previously, he has worked on consulting assignments with global organizations both in India and international markets. He was also associated with the innovative service solutions for Cummins Auto. Overall, Nisheeth brings a widespread understanding of education, service, airline and consulting industries.

As VP Supply Chain Management and Quality, KP Roy is responsible for vendor development, sourcing, production, dispatch and logistics, processes and quality systems of Novatium.

He has 20 plus years of experience in the manufacturing, service, and IT industry. KP Roy began his career at Crompton Greaves, Kerala, as Electronics Supervisor. He then joined GE Lighting as Instrumentation Engineer. His career graph grew steadily at GE Lighting and he soon became Deputy Manager – Quality Programs & Six Sigma Black Belt. At GE, he was responsible for quality systems; Six Sigma; maintenance of electrical, electronics and utility; stable operations; project identification and execution; and ISO.

Prior to joining Novatium, KP Roy was Head – Backend Operations at Cummins, where he was responsible for process design and implementation, customer support function, call center, SOX coordination and quality systems and Six Sigma.

His achievements include winning the Chairman’s award for Best Six Sigma Project within Cummins entities in India.

Rajeshwari started her career with Seagram India and later moved to HLL where she was responsible for a sales turnover of around 150 crores in her territory and later handled complete marketing of food brands like Lipton Tiger & Brook Bond A1 whose turnovers were around 180–200 crores. She was with Cavin Care as Category Manager for the skincare products division which sported brands like Fairever and Spinz after which she joined a Japanese paint company called Nippon Paint as Marketing Head. Apart from consumer marketing initiatives, she also spearheaded the retail outlet marketing strategies at Nippon.

Rajeshwari holds a postgraduate degree in Management from IIM Ahmedabad.

As VP – Business Development & Corporate Information Management – Saugata focuses on establishing strategic business alliances that enrich the Nova utility computing ecosystem. He is responsible for maintaining lasting symbiotic corporate relationships that are pivotal to realizing the vision of providing simplified computing to the next billion.

Prior to this, Saugata was Head of Server Integration and Solutions – at Novatium and was responsible for the development of the server-side architecture that is the core of Novatium’s computing service.

Saugata has over 12 years of experience in Information Technology service, worked in specializing in product development ranging from embedded firewall, network surveillance to large enterprise solutions. Before joining Novatium, he was with NatureSoft, where he joined as a system programmer and eventually led the technology solution research group.

George has about 7 years of experience in Human Resources of which he has spent about 25 months with Cargill India Pvt. Ltd, in an active M&A scenario. George has also served in the Indian Army for 5 years as a Commissioned Officer in the Corps of Engineers. He holds a degree in Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, and has completed a General Management Programme from IIM, Lucknow.

Ganapathy joined Novatium in February 2008 with over 23 years of experience from various roles in diverse industries. His experience includes Treasury Management, Tax planning, Budgetary Control, Regulatory Compliance, Information Systems designing and implementation and Risk Management among other things.

Prior to assuming his current role, he was the Vice President – Finance at TTK-LIG Limited & SSL-TTK Limited wherein he was successful in increasing revenue, reducing costs, minimizing risk and maximizing stakeholder’s wealth. He has also been part of the steering Committee for various continuous improvement initiatives like Total Productive Maintenance, SAP implementation and Policy deployment.

He began his career in WS Industries (I) Ltd. and Ennore Foundries Ltd. He also held various positions in Murugappa Group units viz.. TI Metal Sections and TI Miller and TI Cycles of India.

Ganapathyraman holds a bachelor's degree in Commerce from Madras University and is a qualified professional from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.

Jaideep Kohli has about 19 yrs of accomplished experience. Prior to assuming his current role, he was the Vice President – Sales Operations at Bharti AirTel. As a proactive leader and planner, Jaideep Kohli has tremendous expertise in strategic planning, market plan execution account management, pre-sales efforts with skills in P&L management, competitor and market analysis, staffing, management reorganization and targeted marketing. Jaideep has expertise in working in multicultural environments with the distinction of exploring new markets for expanding businesses from scratch and streamlining operations.

His previous stints also include HCL, IT Nation, Xerox, Godrej & Boyce and has had a stint in the Family Business as well. His major accomplishment include acknowledgement with CEO’s Quality Award for doing Six Sigma project on streamlining channel business at Bharti Airtel, innovation & execution of “Mera Sapna Hua Sakar” initiative at HCL and in creating a successfully augmented revenue by 100 % in just 2 years of operation at Xerox with record high sales and record profitability.

Jaideep is an alumni of IMT Ghaziabad, where he did his Masters in Business Administration post his graduation from the Delhi University.
